Lauren Schweers

Lauren Schweers is excited to spend this summer with Gulfshore Playhouse as an Education Program Assistant. She is pursuing her B.F.A. in Musical Theater and a minor in Business at Syracuse University. This past school year, she interned in the Education and Community Engagement office of Syracuse Stage, where she helped organize partnerships with local schools and organizations. Originally from Houston, Texas, Lauren grew up singing, acting, and dancing at Theater Under the Stars. As she grew as a performer, she also discovered a love for sharing the arts with others through student directing and teaching. In 2023, she won an award for her student direction at the Junior Theater Festival. Lauren is passionate about making the arts more inclusive for all and enjoys working as a teaching artist and mentor for students with disabilities. She looks forward to a summer of helping young performers shine.
