Frances Barnett

Frances Barnett is an enthusiastic and curious theatre educator originally from Asheville, North Carolina. She believes in theatre as a transformative art form that cultivates confidence, community, and collaboration. Frances earned her B.F.A. in Theatre Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where she was involved in numerous productions, both on and off stage.
Among her favorite projects are directing a 25-minute abridged version of Twelfth Night and stage managing the debut staged reading of Bright Precious Things, an adaptation of The Great Gatsby written by Janet Allard. Through UNCG’s Theatre Education program and work with Virginia Children’s Theatre, she has worked with students of all ages in both school and community programs. She enjoys working with theatre students of all backgrounds to create fun, meaningful, and exploratory art.
Frances is passionate about fostering creative, inclusive spaces where curiosity and collaboration thrive. She looks forward to joining the Gulfshore Playhouse team and contributing to a vibrant theatre community in Naples.
