This College Audition Prep Class is specifically designed for students preparing to audition for college theatre programs. Participants will develop and refine a well-rounded audition package—including monologues and songs—while receiving individualized coaching on performance technique, material selection, and presentation. The class also explores how to find the college program that best fits each student’s artistic goals and training needs, helping to navigate the competitive college audition process with confidence and clarity.

Class Description
Please note: Classes are held on Thursday evenings 5:30-7:30PM, except the week of September 15th which will be held on Tuesday, September 16th.
Week One (Aug 28th): College Theatre Audition Overview
– Outline the full audition and application process.
– Understand audition timelines, pre-screens, and application components.
– Get guidance on selecting appropriate monologues and songs.
– Start building a college list and setting personal goals.
Week Two (Sept 4th): BA vs. BFA, Monologues & Viewpoints

– How to select and perform monologues.
– Introduction to Viewpoints technique.
Week Three (Sept 11th): Acting Through Song & Feedback

– How to take and use feedback.
– Making auditions authentic and memorable.
Week Four (TUESDAY, September 16th): Musical Theatre Audition w/Mock Auditions

– Selecting effective audition cuts.
– Mock audition with personalized coaching.
– Focus on vocal and storytelling skills.
– Q&A on audition expectations and prep.
Week Five (Sept 25th): Inside a College Musical Theatre Program
