Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as an Events/Food & Beverage Bartender.
Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. Gulfshore Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Gulfshore Playhouse recently opened the Gulfshore Playhouse Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the art facility, featuring a 365-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for Gulfshore Playhouse, which is experiencing unprecedented growth in a collaborative and creative community.
Status: Part-time, Seasonal Position
Pay range: $14 per/hr + tips.

Representative Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Events/Food & Beverage, part-time Bartenders are essential to creating a memorable guest experience at Gulfshore Playhouse. This role is responsible for delivering polished, efficient, and friendly bar service during performances, daytime operations (as scheduled), and special events.
- Provide exceptional hospitality by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions, offering beverage recommendations, and driving pre-orders.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistently and efficiently, following established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Operate the POS system, handle cash/credit transactions accurately, and balance receipts as required.
- Maintain bar cleanliness and organization, including restocking, washing glassware/tools, sanitizing surfaces, and proper waste disposal.
- Monitor product levels, assist with inventory counts, and communicate low stock, waste, or discrepancies to management.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service, including checking IDs when required and adhering to all applicable laws and Playhouse policies.
- Support service during intermissions, pre-show, post-show, and event receptions to ensure timely lines, quality presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed (bar mise en place, glassware, linens, service stations, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Events/F&B team and other departments to provide a seamless, world-class experience for patrons and clients.
- Respond to guest questions, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management as appropriate.
- Complete opening/closing duties as assigned, including side work, cleaning, restocking, and securing product.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Previous bartending experience in an upscale, high-volume, or hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a polished, guest-first approach.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safe food and beverage handling practices.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on performance and event schedules.
- Ability to stand for 6–8 hours and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Must meet all applicable Florida requirements related to responsible alcohol service; food safety certification a plus (as required by role).
- Professional appearance with a positive, team-oriented attitude that supports a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
