Ray Inkel
Director of Production
Ray Inkel has served as the Director of Production for the Alley Theatre in Houston, TX since 2012. At the Alley he led a production staff of 60 producing up to 14 productions each year. In addition, Ray helped with a $56 million renovation of the main theatre, weathered the destruction and rebuild of the theatre from Hurricane Harvey in 2017, and helped create an all digital season during the COVID pandemic. Ray served as the Production Director at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, UT from 2000-2012 overseeing daily rotating repertory productions in three theaters. Ray was the production manager at PCPA Theatrefest in Santa Maria, CA from 1995-2000 where he oversaw over fifty seven productions. Scenic and Lighting design credits include work at Festival Playhouse, Yale Cabaret, and PCPA Theatrefest. He holds his M.F.A. in technical design and production from the Yale School of Drama. Ray is married with 2 fur babies and enjoys the outdoors and gardening. He is looking forward to exploring SW Florida and being part of the growth of Gulfshore Playhouse.
