David Shockley

H. David Shockley was born and raised in Houston and is a fifth-generation Texan who now spends more time in Naples, Florida than Texas. He has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 30 years and has resided in the Austin, Texas area for many of those years.

Mr. Shockley graduated from the University of Texas and is the Founder and CEO of Movair, a 30+ year medical device development and manufacturing company specializing in life support equipment for cardiovascular surgery and respiratory therapy. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Organicare, a pharmaceutical drug developer and manufacturer. Over the past 40 years in medical product development and manufacturing, his companies have developed numerous products, with several becoming “spin-off” companies that were eventually sold and continue to thrive today. Additionally, he serves as a Board Director for several health-related companies that were successfully launched and sold.

Melissa and David are deeply committed to supporting youth, especially those at risk. He sits on the Board of Camp of the Hills, a nonprofit camp located just west of Austin, Texas, focused on helping at-risk children. This Camp has over 8000 children come through it each year. Mr. Shockley is also actively involved in other philanthropic organizations that support both Texas and Florida youth.
