Meet the Impressive Cast of Into the Breeches!
Gulfshore Playhouse is overjoyed to be hosting an amazingly talented cast for the upcoming run of Into the Breeches!. This delightfully uplifting comedy shares the story of a group of women actors looking to keep their theatre alive while the men are overseas during World War II. Aiming to mount the first all-female production of Shakespeare’s Henry V, this is a story of community, perseverance, gender equality, and the transformative power of theatre in times of adversity. It’s also a heartwarming remembrance of a time in our country’s history when we all pulled together to celebrate the power of unity and sacrifice.
To help share the story are two of Gulfshore Playhouse’s favorite actresses and an actor you may recognize from television:
- Karen Peakes (Maggie Dalton) has been seen in the Gulfshore Playhouse productions of Steel Magnolias and Maytag Virgin. We’re thrilled to have you back, Karen!
- And you’ll remember Beth Hylton (Celeste Fielding) from several Gulfshore Playhouse productions, including A Doll’s House, Blithe Spirit, and Steel Magnolias, where she played M’Lynn. Welcome back to Naples, Beth!
- We’re thrilled to introduce the talented Dan Butler, starring as Ellsworth Snow in our upcoming production of Into The Breeches!
Many may recognize Dan from his iconic role as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe on “Frasier,” where he kept audiences in stitches for six seasons. From his macho antics on the “Gonzo Sports Show” to his brash behavior, he was the perfect comic foil to the more refined and uptight Frasier.
Butler’s impressive acting credits extend to Broadway, as well as Off-Broadway, regional theaters, and a range of film and TV projects, showcasing his incredible talent and versatility.
We are delighted to have Karen, Beth and Dan – as well as all of the other talented cast members – on board for what promises to be an outstanding production of Into The Breeches!, opening on February 17th and running through March 10th.
