Get to Know the Cast of A Christmas Carol

A celebrated cast of stage veterans brings Dickens’ classic to life in a brand-new adaptation by Kristen Coury

Gulfshore Playhouse brings together an accomplished company of professional actors and young performers for A Christmas Carol, a brand-new adaptation by CEO, Founder and Producing Artistic Director Kristen Coury. The cast features artists whose credits span Broadway, national tours and many of the country’s leading regional theatres. Audiences can get to know the cast through the new Get to Know the Cast video, featuring conversations about their roles, holiday memories and what makes this adaptation distinctive.

A Christmas Carol runs November 17 through December 24, 2026, on the Moran Mainstage, with opening night on November 20. Featuring live music, dancing and theatre magic, this production offers families across Southwest Florida an opportunity to experience Dickens’ beloved holiday story in a new adaptation created for Southwest Florida.

Leading the company as Ebenezer Scrooge is Christopher Patrick Mullen, making his Gulfshore Playhouse debut. Mullen toured with the First National Tour of the West Side Story revival, has appeared Off-Broadway, and has spent more than 30 years performing with People’s Light, along with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and Orlando Shakespeare Theater.

The company also features:

  • Jonathan Spivey (Jacob Marley, the Narrator), making his Gulfshore Playhouse debut. His Broadway credits include The Front Page and Act One, which aired on PBS’s Live From Lincoln Center. He has also appeared at The Old Globe, Yale Repertory Theatre, Denver Center, Long Wharf Theatre and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
  • Steven Rattazzi (Mr. Fezziwig, the Ghost of Christmas Present), appearing in his first Gulfshore Playhouse production. He made his Broadway debut in the Tony AwardⓇ-winning Indecent and has worked across Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, film, television and voice.
  • Sarah Killough (the Ghost of Christmas Past, Mrs. Cratchit), a Broadway veteran who most recently played Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
  • Oliver Prose (Bob Cratchit), returning after playing Barry Mann in last season’s Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. He originated the role of Alex Mann in Broadway’s New York, New York.
  • Erin Burniston (Victoria, Caroline), returning to Gulfshore Playhouse for the first time since Winter Wonderettes in 2023, before the Playhouse moved into its new home.

“I was looking for a company of actors who could bring depth, individuality and a strong sense of connection to these characters,” said Kristen Coury, Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Gulfshore Playhouse. Coury hopes the production will become a new holiday tradition for Southwest Florida families, inviting audiences to experience the story together on the Moran Mainstage.

See them live on stage. With music, dancing, Broadway talent, and a reimagined adaptation of Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol is a holiday experience the whole family can enjoy.
