Rubén is thrilled to join Gulfshore Playhouse! He made his Broadway debut in the hit show In the Heights (also 1st National Tour). Off-Broadway credits include Americano! The Musical (Original cast – New World Stages), El Corrido De California (Roundabout), Two Gentlemen of Verona – The Musical, and Kingdom (Public Theater), Doctor Atomic (MET Opera), Roller Derby (NYMF), and sold-out performances at Joe’s Pub. Rubén has played leading roles in On Your Feet (Gateway, NTC, Papermill), Changing Channels (World Premiere) and In the Heights (Fulton Theater), Evita (Engeman Theater), Cats (ACCC), and Havana! (World Premiere – NCL). In Mexico, Rubén appeared in Grease, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Beauty and the Beast. His television credits include The Blacklist (Hermán De León, Season 9, Episode 8), Pause. With Sam Jay (Swinging Man, Season 1, Episode 5), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (World’s Fair), The Caroline Rhea Show (with Paula Abdul), and series regular in Picardía Mexicana (Univision). His voiceover work includes audiobooks for the US Library of Congress, HBO Sports, Netflix, National Geographic, and numerous commercials.
