Laura Moreno is so excited to be working with Kristen and the Gulfshore Playhouse Team! Laura is a multi-faceted theatre artist and arts leader, known for her work as a producer, film, stage, & intimacy director, arts administrator, and costume designer. She received her MFA in Theatre (Directing/Dramaturgy), MA in Arts Leadership, and BFA in Acting from the University of Houston. She also holds certificates in: Arts In Health from UH, Mental Health Arts Practitioner from the Association of Mental Health Coordinators, and Theatre, Film, & TV Producing from NYU. She’s Co-founder and Artistic Director of Beans & Rice Media Arts, ¡Que Onda! LatinX Theatre Collective, and El Labo: A LatinX Theatre Experiment. She’s a member of: Alley Theatre El Zocalo Advisory Committee, Stages Theatre Sin Muros Latinx Theatre Festival Advisory Board, LatinX Theatre Commons Steering Committee, PAAL Parent Artist Advocacy League – Houston Chief Rep, Women of Color In The Arts, and artEquity BIPOC Leadership Circle. She’s also the proud Mama of a little monster named Izzy.
