The Teen Conservatory gives teens with a passion for the performing arts the chance to work with professional artists, see world-class theatre, and learn the craft of performance in an intensive but non-competitive environment. No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate a deep level of seriousness and a willingness to learn, grow, and become part of a professional arts community. Teen Conservatory students have learned from Broadway artists and casting directors, been mentored by Gulfshore Playhouse staff, and performed such shows as The Secret Garden and Into the Woods.

Gulfshore Playhouse’s Teen Conservatory is an after-school intensive class for 13-18-year-old artists with an interest in theatre performance. Teen Conservatory students receive training in acting and musical theatre performance. The program gives students the opportunity to attend Gulfshore Playhouse mainstage productions and special events, interact with visiting artists, and learn skills from theatre professionals. The Teen Conservatory includes two public performances: a January cabaret and a spring one-act play performed on the Gulfshore Playhouse stage.
The Teen Conservatory is the ideal program in the Naples area for young artists to refine their skills in:
- Ensemble Work
- Industry Knowledge
The Teen Conservatory is the best way for teens with a serious interest in theatrical performance to gain high-level training to prepare them for future careers.
In summer 2019, we are thrilled to announce the Teen Conservatory will be performing the Tony-winning musical, Les Misérables. This by-audition full-day summer camp gives performers aged 13-18 the opportunity to rehearse and perform in one of Broadway’s most iconic musicals. Participants will have the opportunity to train under Becky Timms who served as the Associate Choreographer on Broadway for Thoroughly Modern Millie and performed on Broadway in Cats. In addition, Teen Conservatory participants will learn about the theatre industry from Gulfshore Playhouse’s professional theatre artists. There is no better camp available in Naples for teens looking to sharpen their skills in the performing arts.
