Renee Baker is a Southwest Florida based Costume Designer. Influenced by a background in fashion, her costume design does not distinguish between the two. Whether on stage or on the catwalk, her design philosophy embraces beauty and the magic of collaboration. She believes clothing is a powerful element of storytelling and self-expression. Her work captivates viewers by drawing attention into the present moment, and by allowing actors to look their best, feel their best, and perform their best. Renee expresses her love for life, art, and connection through every design. Previously at Gulfshore Playhouse: Holmes and Watson, StarCrossed, Shipwrecked. Renee holds a Master of Arts in Apparel Design from Illinois State University. She has taught fashion design and costume design at the collegiate level. Renee is a Military Intelligence Veteran of the United State Air Force.
