Join us for a technique-driven Jazz Dance Class designed specifically for middle and high school students looking to sharpen their dance skills as they grow as musical theatre performers.

Led by Courtney Briggs, a seasoned instructor from Dance Arts by Maria, each class will offer students the opportunity to train in a professional-caliber studio at the brand-new Baker Theatre and Education Center at Gulfshore Playhouse.

Class begins with one hour of foundational jazz technique—focused on strength, flexibility, alignment, and style—followed by a second hour where students will learn a variety of dance combinations from Broadway musicals. This format builds not only technical precision but also musicality, storytelling, and performance presence.

Whether students are aspiring performers or seasoned dancers, this class is an essential step in developing the well-rounded skills required in musical theatre.
