Playground: The Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre for Youth Tour
Playground brings professional theatre straight to young audiences with two unforgettable journeys.
In Vivian Snipes’s The Tallest Tale Ever Told, Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind and Davy Crockett burst to life in a highly theatrical tall tale. It’s set in an earlier time of possibility and promise, and its facts get stretched, embellished, and enlarged in the true Tall Tale tradition. Together they save the world from certain destruction and show that anyone can change the world for the better, one action at a time.
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, adapted from Kate DiCamillo’s beloved novel, follows a proud china rabbit who is lost, found, and changed along the way as he learns what it means to love and be loved. Playground sparks imagination, builds empathy, and turns any room into a place to play.
