Bradlee Ward

Bradlee Ward is a New York City-based sound designer and audiovisual consultant working at the intersection of theatre and immersive system design across global contexts. He is thrilled to be collaborating with Gulfshore Playhouse for the first time joining this inspiring creative team in the fantastic new facility.

Brad uses sound to connect people across cultures and borders with a singular mission: “Bringing the world together through great sound.” His work spans musical theatre, plays, and experiential environments, with a focus on projects that align with this ethos of connection and shared experience.

Whether shaping the emotional arc of a musical or designing systems that ensure every voice is heard with clarity and intention, he approaches sound as both storytelling and spatial scenography.

Selected sound design credits include I Need That (Broadway), King Lear (Bedlam), and Penelope (York Theatre), international: Request sa Radyo (Manila) and Transcendent Renaissance (Dubai Desert). Associate sound designer on Choir Boy (Tony Award, Best Sound Design) and The Rose Tattoo (Broadway).

Upcoming: Sound designer for the US exhibit to the Prague Quadrennial in 2027, Project coordinator for Sound as Scenography at the International Festival of Theatre Schools 2027, Kerala, India.

Brad serves as Chair of the Sound Design Sub-commission of OISTAT and International Vice Commissioner of Sound for USITT, advancing global collaboration in the field. A dedicated educator, he leads workshops, mentors emerging artists, and supports international exchanges that cultivate the next generation of sound designers.
