Julie Clampitt

Julie is a theatre artisan with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Michigan State University. Her work spans props, scenic art, costume design, and costume technology.

Her interests wander through fashion history, 18th-century scenography, and material culture, with a particular appreciation for the extravagant, beautiful, and occasionally strange details found in antique furniture. In her spare time, she dances ballet, collects historical clothing and sewing materials, and can usually be found admiring something in a museum or contemplating what historical object she absolutely must try to recreate next.
