Candace (Janelle Woods/Shirelle) born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Candace is a passionate performer who is grateful for the musical gifts God has blessed her with. Her love for storytelling through song and performance continues to guide her journey both on and off the stage. Some of her favorite roles include Deena in Dreamgirls, Duckling Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, and bringing beloved Disney characters to life like Nala in The Lion King and Princess Tiana in Princess and The Frog. Each role has allowed her to grow as an artist and travel the world while connecting with audiences in meaningful ways. Candace is thrilled to be making her debut at Gulfshore Playhouse as Janelle in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. She is incredibly excited to bring this vibrant story to life, once again.
