A magical meeting of professional theatre and music for the entire 11th grade of Collier County

Gulfshore Playhouse and the Naples Philarmonic at Artis—Naples first joined forces with the Collier County Public Schools in 2017 to present Starcrossed, an adaptation of Romeo and Julietfree of charge to the entire 11th grade of Collier County (3000+ students). In fall 2019 Shipwrecked, a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, took the stage. This partnership is designed to enhance students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s work while giving them the unique opportunity to witness world-class performances from professional actors and musicians.

Shipwrecked

When a ship crashes on a mysterious island, dark magic, sinister schemes, and young love collide. World-class actors and musicians from Gulfshore Playhouse and the Naples Philharmonic take the stage by storm in this tale of vengeful servants, unearthly creatures, romance, and forgiveness. Adapted from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
