Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as Group Sales Manager.
Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. The Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Gulfshore Playhouse recently opened the Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the-art facility, featuring a 368-seat Broadway-sized mainstage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for the Playhouse, which is experiencing unprecedented growth, and the Group Sales Manager will have the opportunity to participate in sales, growing audiences, and coordinating daily business affairs.

Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Group Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive group ticket sales, foster relationships with community organizations, and increase audience engagement. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with a passion for live theatre and a talent for building lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual group sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with schools, corporations, tour operators, affinity groups, and other organizations.
- Create custom group packages and experiences tailored to various demographics and interests.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and distribute promotional materials and campaigns targeting group buyers.
- Manage the group sales booking process from inquiry to fulfillment, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Maintain and grow the group sales database and CRM, tracking leads, communications, and conversions.
- Work closely with the Patron Service and Front of House teams to ensure seamless guest experiences for group patrons.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions to represent the theatre and promote group offerings.
- Provide regular reports on group sales performance and market insights to senior leadership.
- Coordinate with Education and Outreach teams for school group sales and matinee programming.
- Stay up to date on current productions and season offerings to effectively pitch and promote upcoming shows.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in group sales, business development, or ticketing—preferably in performing arts, entertainment, or hospitality.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM or ticketing software (e.g., Tessitura, Spektrix, Salesforce, or similar).
- Passion for theatre and the performing arts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for performances or events.
