Inspired lunacy in Scottish moors at Gulfshore Playhouse

Famed movie director Alfred Hitchcock was known for being the master of suspense.

But he had a droll sense of humor, too.

I suspect he would have rather liked the play version of his movie, “The 39 Steps” (which itself was adapted from a novel by John Buchan).

The play, now at Gulfshore Playhouse (through March 13) is a treasure chest of comedy, including but not limited to: physical humor, slapstick, wordplay, clowning, visual humor, funny costumes and wigs, strange accents and major silliness.
