November is not just a month for gratitude; it is a month for giving. In recognition of Nonprofit Awareness Month, we have compiled our third annual Nonprofit Directory to help make you aware of the many opportunities to give in Southwest Florida. Each year we research thirty different nonprofits and select the ones with local connections and unique opportunities for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Just one day of your time can make a difference: Walk or run in a 5K, cheer for our veterans as they complete an Honor Flight mission, hire the Boys & Girls Club catering for your next event or shop or donate at a nonprofit’s resale shop. Have more time? Become a babysitter at a shelter, a baby rocker at a childcare agency, a tutor or mentor for students or coach your favorite sport at a nonprofit sports organization.
Gulfshore Playhouse is committed to bringing quality professional theatre to our community while providing unique educational opportunities to diverse groups of people and students.
How you can help: Volunteers are needed as ushers, carpenters, seamstresses and for special events. Donations of household items and clothing for props and costumes also are welcome.
