When two struggling actors hear that an elderly woman in York, PA plans on leaving her immense fortune to her late sister’s long lost children, Max and Steve, they see an opportunity to end to their woes. What seems like a perfect plan quickly dissolves into mayhem as they discover that the woman’s relatives are not nephews, but nieces! Jack and Leo give their greatest performance yet as “Maxine and Stephanie” in this laugh out loud comedy by the genius who brought us Fox on the Fairway and The Game’s Afoot.

    In Ken Ludwig’s “Leading Ladies,” a pair of Shakespearean actors are once again pretending to be women — but they do so in attempts to swindle a dying woman out of her money by claiming to be her long-lost nieces.

DARREN KATZ (Director) Broadway: Resident Director of The Lion King and Associate Director of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Upcoming: 60th Anniversary Concert of West Side Story with The Phoenix Symphony. Original shows include: Odd Squad Live!, a new musical written by the creators of the Emmy Award winning PBS television show; You Say Tomato I Say Shut Up by Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn (Orin Wolf/Blumenthal PAC; Nat’l Tour); and I Got Sick Then I Got Better written and performed by Jenny Allen and co-directed with James Lapine (NYTW). Currently developing: Pub Crawl written and performed by Rory O’Malley (Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, Garry Marshall Theater); Squirrel Heart written and performed by Sarah Stiles (Joe’s Pub); The Real True Story by Holly Gewandter, (Joe’s Pub, Second Stage, Mass MoCA); SeXcurity written and performed by Yuval Boim (Joyce Soho, Dixon Place, Cleveland Public Theater); Excuse Me There’s a Faggot in my Closet by Craig Harwood and Sxip Shirey.


WILLIAM NEAL (Sound Designer) is delighted to return to Gulfshore Playhouse, having designed the sound for Boeing-Boeing in 2015. William has designed over 50 productions, including the original Off-Broadway productions of Small World, Daniel’s Husband, Drop Dead Perfect, and The Little Prince. Regional: Other Desert Cities, Outside Mullingar, The God Game, Stones in His Pockets, Talley’s Folly, God of Carnage, The How and the Why, Othello, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Hamlet, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Comedy of Errors, All’s Well That Ends Well, Taming of the Shrew, The Liar, The Three Musketeers, The 39 Steps, and Around the World in 80 Days. William was also Assistant Sound Designer for the original Off-Broadway productions of Gently Down the Stream, Sweat, The Good Mother, Russian Transport, Burning, Blood from a Stone, Eyes of Babylon, and Edgewise. Member: United Scenic Artists Local USA 829 and Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association.


KRISTEN MARTINO (Scenic Designer) is thrilled to return to Gulfshore playhouse after previously designing The Christians and The Hound of the Baskervilles. Other scenic design credits include Peter and the Starcatcher and Gypsy for Farmers Alley Theatre (Kalamazoo, MI) ; Almost Heaven: The Songs of John Denver for Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre (Grand Lake, CO); and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Hedda Gabler, Romeo and Juliet and In The Red and Brown Water for Indiana University where she completed her MFA. Kristen is an Assistant Scenic Designer for XL Scenic and Kevin Depinet Studios in Chicago where she has the opportunity to assist designs at nationally recognized theatres across the country including The Goodman, Theatre Under the Stars, The Old Globe, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and many more.  Kristen was also the Assistant Scenic Designer for the USA’s National Exhibit at the 2015 Prague Quadrennial.


LAUREN GASTON (Costume Designer) is a costume designer whose design work spans four continents. The Festival of International Opera of the Americas (Campinas, Brazil), La Musica Lirica (Novafeltria, Italy) and The Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts have all presented her work. Additional design credits include: The Broken Record (New York Times Critics Pick, FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award); Sticky Traps (World Premiere by Nathan Louis Jackson, The Kansas City Repertory Theatre, MO); My Fair Lady (Gulfshore Playhouse, FL). Ms. Gaston is thrilled to be joining Gulfshore Playhouse for her third season!


JIMMY LAWLOR (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to return to Gulfshore Playhouse! At GSP: Informed Consent, Enemy of the People, My Fair Lady, Do This, Merchant of Venice. Jimmy is a Scorpio, new father, cat owner, and a music enthusiast, who enjoys scotch and bourbon. He only runs when chased.  Jimmy designs lighting for opera, theatre, dance, corporate clients, architecture, interiors, and more. New York work includes Broadway, Off Broadway, and beyond. Jimmy’s work has been seen internationally in Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Mexico, Canada, and Germany. MFA from NYU Tisch. Member of USA 829 & Wingspace Design Collective.
