Question 1: Whether Gulfshore Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Kristen Coury would be interested in coming to Miami to discuss a production of his new musical with Monty Python cofounder John Cleese.
Question 2: How many land speed records Coury broke getting to Miami.
The responses to those questions are evident in that Cleese’s 2017 comedy, “Bang Bang,” which is just getting to the colonies from Great Britain, has become part of the playhouse 2020-21 season. It was announced Monday at Norris Community Center.
There was a Question No. 3, from Cleese: Would they approve of him coming to rehearsals when “Bang! Bang!” goes into rehearsal? The response was an excited yes.
“Keep your fingers crossed that he’ll actually be with us and here for opening night in February,” Coury told supporters at the season announcement reception at the Norris Community Center.
