JOSEPH BRAUER (Music Director, The Little Mermaid) holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from North Dakota State University with a music minor focused in vocal pedagogy. He has worked locally on School of Rock: The Musical, Cabaret, Me And My Girl; and has performed in New York, Minneapolis, and toured the Midwest with a children’s theatre company.
Director of Music and keyboardist JOHN AUSTIN CLARK (Music Director, The Secret Garden) serves as founding Producing Artistic Director for Bourbon Baroque, an ensemble that performs the music of the Baroque on period instruments. In addition to his administrative responsibilities with Bourbon Baroque, Mr. Clark operates a private piano studio, is an active accompanist and vocal coach, and directs musical theatre and opera.
MCKENZIE EURY (Program Manager) is from Charlotte, North Carolina. An alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she holds a BFA in Theatre Education and a BA in Arts Administration. She is honored to be part of an amazing team and beyond excited to assist the 2018 Summer Education Programs!
Before moving down to SW Florida in 2017, COLIN HART (Music Director, Broadway Bootcamp) worked as an instructor at Ball State University, a church music director, and an elementary school music teacher. In Florida he has continued working as a music director and production manager. Colin has received national recognition for his theatrical work, including awards from the Kennedy Center, Music Theatre International, and the O’Neill Center.
CORY DUNN (Production Manager) is completing his third season as Production Manager with Gulfshore Playhouse. Cory has also spent time as Assistant Director with Gulfshore Playhouse on …Irma Vep, Miss Keller…, The Christians, and Do This. Having graduated from Florida State University, other venues worked include Tallahassee and Orlando, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia.
ALYSON MCCOY (Ribbon Dance Choreographer, The Little Mermaid and Teaching Artist, Broadway Bootcamp) has enjoyed taking care of business for Gulfshore Playhouse since the fall of 2014. Originally from Celebration, FL, Alyson grew up as a dancer and majorette before finding her way backstage and into the financial office. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Southern College with her BFA and BS.
KATHARINE QUINN (Assistant Director/Choreographer, The Little Mermaid, Principal Teaching Artist, Musical Theatre Intensive) is delighted to join the Gulfshore Playhouse team this summer! She has performed internationally, at sea, on tour with 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, and regionally in many shows across the nation. HESTER KAMIN (Director/Choreographer, The Little Mermaid, Choreographer, The Secret Garden, Director of Education) is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (Phi Beta Kappa) and of the Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre in Paris. She is the recipient of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists National Award, the Academy of Paris Award for Contribution to Arts and Culture, and the Academy of American Poets Prize. Hester has performed since she was a child and has created, directed, and choreographed more than two hundred shows throughout the US, Europe, and Samoa. Most recently, she had the honor of collaborating with The Naples Philharmonic and Gulfshore Playhouse on Starcrossed, a marriage of classical music and Shakespeare that was performed for the entire 11th grade of Collier County.
Hester has been Co-Artistic Director of bilingual Drama Ties Theatre in France, Youth Theatre Associate of Honolulu Theatre for Youth, and Director of Education of Barrington Stage Company. She created the education programs at two historic theatres: the 1400-seat Hawaii Theatre and Bucks County Playhouse, and she has initiated partnerships with the Honolulu Symphony, The Hawaii State Art Museum, and The Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida. She was honored to serve as a guest artist at Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts, and NYC’s Spoke the Hub Dance Center.
Hester is proud to be a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and a volunteer at Shy Wolf Sanctuary.
AMELIA VAUGHAN (Production Stage Manager) served as Music Director for Broadway Bootcamp and Production Stage Manager for all programs during Star Academy Summer 2017 and played the title role in GP’s youth show In Flight: The Story of Sabine van Dam. Amelia holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Stetson University.
GRAHAM ZELLERS (Lighting Designer) is very excited to be returning to Gulfshore Playhouse for his fourth season in 2018! Graham has designed the lighting for Gulfshore Playhouse’s education program over the last few seasons and his design credits include In Flight, Aladdin Jr., and Into the Woods, among others. He graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatrical Design and Technology. While there he designed the lighting for several shows, with his favorites being Frankenstein and The Crucible.
EMMA SULLIVAN (Assistant Stage Manager) is an incoming junior at Naples High School and full time dual enrollment student at Florida Gulf Coast University. She became involved with Gulfshore Playhouse through the STARwrights program and worked as a Guiding Star and Assistant Stage Manager in last summer’s productions. She is happy to be back for another great year of theater!
KELLI TYSINGER (Scenic Charge Artist) is in her fourth year at Gulfshore Playhouse. She graduated from Brevard College in Brevard NC with a BA in Theater. She worked at Brevard Music Center for three summers in the paint department. Originally she is from Lewisville, NC, and is very excited to come back for a fifth season at Gulfshore Playhouse.
Jonathan Borgia is thrilled to be creating props for his first Summer season with Gulfshore Playhouse. He is a graduate of Western Carolina University where he earned a BA degree in Stage and Screen Design Technology. Some of his theatre credits include, Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, Creede Repertory Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, and Berkshire Theatre Group. He would like to thank Gulfshore Playhouse and the whole GP staff for being a joy to create with.
