Gulfshore Playhouse Donates More Than $3,000 In Show Tickets To Local Veterans

Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples’ premiere professional regional theatre, recently hosted 50 local veterans for a free showing of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and “The Revolutionists,” currently running through Feb. 3 The donated tickets are valued at $3,451.

For the past several years, Gulfshore Playhouse has made it a tradition to provide veterans with the opportunity to experience live, professional theatre in Naples through discounted and complimentary tickets.

“It’s our way of saying thank you for the personal sacrifices they’ve made to keep us safe,” said Kristen Coury, founder and producing artistic director of Gulfshore Playhouse. “We were honored to welcome our local heroes to the theatre and treat them for a fun night of laughter, music and comedy.”

Gulfshore Playhouse also offers year-round discounts for all veterans and public safety workers. The Local Heroes program offers $10 off any ticket for veterans, EMS, police and fire protection and rescue service members for all shows throughout the season.
