While the world is changing every day, one thing is not: our unwavering commitment to producing world-class professional theatre and educational opportunities for you and our wider community. We are using this time to plan for a future season of wonderful theatre that prioritizes the safety of our artists, staff, students, and of course, you. With this in mind, we have made some changes to the season we originally announced in February.
In the interest of safety, we are canceling our Annual New Works Festival, The Syringa Tree and Around the World in 80 Days. This decision was not made easily, but it helps mitigate risks posed by transporting and housing our New York actors and asking people to gather too soon. With each of our 2020-21 productions, we will institute new policies to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of our actors and staff in accordance with CDC, OSHA, and Actors’ Equity guidelines. This includes reducing capacity, creating more space between rows and seats, offering digital playbills, enforcing stringent cleanliness practices, and more.
Even though the beginning of our season will not look the same, this doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on witnessing world-class professional theatre this fall.
We are thrilled to announce we are creating a World Premiere production written by and starring Jeffrey Binder and directed by Kristen Coury, which will run from November 7-29, 2020. This new one-man production is being created expressly with you in mind, prioritizing new safety standards while sacrificing none of the quality you have come to expect. We can’t wait to share more details about this inspiring and ambitious new one-man show in the near future.
We are planning for our 2021 productions to run as scheduled, with one change. Following the heartwarming musical The Pin-Up Girls and John Cleese’s masterful comedy Bang Bang, we will produce Shakespeare’s enchanting classic, A Midsummer Night’s Dream in place of the previously announced Othello. Our season will close with another World Premiere, Another Revolution by Jacqueline Bircher.
If you have already purchased a six-show season package, or hold tickets to our New Works Festival, The Syringa Tree, or Around the World in 80 Days, no action is required! Rest assured that one of our team members will be reaching out to you directly to discuss your options.
If you have not yet purchased your 2020-2021 tickets, now is a great time to do so! We have 5-show, 4-show, and 3-show ticket packages, flex passes, and single tickets all available right now! For a limited time, we are offering a two-ticket special where you can purchase two tickets to any performance for just $75! Don’t miss out on these incredible savings!
We are currently still working with a reduced staff so we appreciate your patience! Additionally, our Administrative Offices and Box Office are still closed, so at this time we ask you purchase your tickets online. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together, we can keep the magic of theatre alive – we’re so thankful for your continued support. We know the situation is constantly evolving, so we promise to keep you apprised of any further changes that may be required.
