3rd Annual New Works Festival

Gulfshore Playhouse’s Third Annual New Works Festival will continue to bring exciting new programming to Naples audiences. Bringing together four playwrights and a team of actors and directors, this week-long festival will offer a place for the carefully selected playwrights to hone their never-before-produced plays and then present their work to an audience.

One of the most important steps for a playwright in the creation of a new play is the transition from writing in a solitary environment, to adding actors, and ultimately an audience to see how the play works in performance. Gulfshore Playhouse’s audiences now have the pleasure of stepping into that incredibly magic space where a play is taking flight for the first time.

Throughout the week, these four selected playwrights will carefully craft their works with actor and director input, culminating in a weekend of staged readings. Gulfshore Playhouse is thrilled to contribute to the development of new work in the American theatre, and even more thrilled to offer our audiences access at an incredibly affordable price.
