A sample of our Art Smart Reviews

"Members of Gulfshore Playhouse presented a Musical Theatre workshop to middle school students. The students were introduced to the terminology and the elements that composed musical theater. Gulfshore Playhouse conducted a pre-assessment questionnaire to determine the students' knowledge in regard to musical theatre. They assessed the students after the 6-session workshop to see what the students had learned. The students did very well on the post-assessment questionnaire showing a growth in knowledge. Most importantly, the students were very receptive to this program and enjoyed performing the music. The high-quality programming provided by Gulfshore Playhouse allows students to experience the arts through music, theater, and dance. They truly enrich the students' lives through the arts".

Naples High School Drama Teacher
"The Brush Up Your Shakespeare instructionalworkshop helped the students better understand Shakespearean monologues which greatly improved their performances. The skills taught will not only be beneficial in my class but in other classes."

Manatee Middle School American History Teacher
"The outreach workshop went far beyond my expectations in terms of students rising to the occasion. It was a powerful activity and one that I would definitely choose to do again. Since my students used historical people from the time period they are currently studying, all of the students in the class benefited from the additional information presented."

Manatee Middle School Dean of Students
"The assembly this morning given by Janina Birtolo of Gulfshore Playhouse depicting Abigail Adams was excellent. The students I have talked to were able to follow along and appreciated the outstanding character presentation and the personal story line told by "Abigail". I am hopeful that additional funds might be available so that other performances can be shared with our students."

Gulfview Middle School Language Arts Teacher, Gifted and Talented Program
"This program directed teaching of skills, allowed for peer sharing, and guided my students to choose topics they care about. I recommend this program for further interaction with our middle schoolers.
