Jason Hunter Korn

Jason is an attorney with the law firm of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby. Dentons is the largest law firm in the world, with more than 12,000 lawyers in 200 locations worldwide. Jason serves as the Firm’s Managing Shareholder for its Florida office and on the Firm’s Oversight and Executive Committee, a committee of the Board designed to provide guidance on strategic matters and oversee Firm management. Jason also serves on the Dentons Global Advisory Committee, and as Deputy General Counsel for Florida.

Jason received his undergraduate degree in organizational economics and management from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Boston University School of Law. He began his legal career in New York City representing large companies and healthcare providers with high exposure claims. He now concentrates his practice in the areas of complex business litigation, commercial litigation, and construction law. Jason is the former Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Committee of the 20th Judicial Circuit (appointed by Governor Jeb Bush), the former President of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association, and the former President of the American Inns of Court, Collier County. He is currently serving on The Florida Bar’s Professional Ethics Committee, having been appointed by the President of The Florida Bar, and as the Chief Judge’s selected designee on the Twentieth Judicial Circuit’s Professionalism Committee.

Jason has served in numerous leadership roles in various civic, charitable and community organizations. The Collier County Education Foundation honored Jason with its annual Men of Distinction™ award, “recognizing men who have distinguished themselves through extensive charitable community service in Collier County, men whose fervent passion for helping others made, and continues to make, the community a better place.” Jason has served Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Collier County, Chairman of the District Board of Florida SouthWestern State College Foundation, Board Member and Chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member and Chairman of the Investor Advisory Committee of the Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance. In 2021, the Naples Chamber of Commerce awarded Jason with the Greater Naples Chamber Chairman’s Award, which recognizes an individual for their dedication to community betterment, who helped the Chamber fulfil its mission of cultivating economic opportunity for all, and “who goes above and beyond, in service to the Chamber and the community as a whole.

Jason’s style of litigation earned him recognition earlier in his career by Gulfshore Life Magazine© in the area of complex litigation and as a group of “Go-To Lawyers’’ and “A-List Advocates” in Southwest Florida. In 2020, Jason was named “Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Litigation-Construction by The Best Lawyers of America©. In 2021, Jason was selected again to the Florida Super Lawyers list and included in Best Lawyers® 2021 Edition of Southern Florida’s Best Lawyers for his work in commercial litigation and construction law. 

Jason has been involved with Gulfshore Playhouse since its early planning stages as a member of the Leadership Council in 2007, Advisory Board in 2008, and a member of the Board of Directors since 2009. He serves on the Finance Committee and as Chairman of the Governance Committee.
