Henry and Sonia are spending a quiet
evening at home. Sonia is preparing her reports. Henry is trying to
deal with their sleepless six-year-old son. But Henry is
about to have a bigger problem. He is on the
verge of publishing two years of scientific research and
is desperate to make a good impression on the distinguished
senior scientist, Hubert Finidori.
So when the doorbell rings and Hubert Finidori arrives
with his rebellious wife in tow for dinner on the wrong
night and there is no food in the apartment, (merely an
ample supply of wine), it sets the stage for a fast-paced,
catastrophic unraveling of normal civilized behavior. But
what kind of a disaster will it be? See what happens when
the scenario spins out of control three different ways.
As witty and acerbic as “Art”, the
delightful "Life x 3" contrasts
man's deft ability to analyze the far reaches of the universe,
with his total inability to respond rationally to a trivial
domestic mishap. “Life x 3” will
leave you laughing with delight and recognition.
[An]
extraordinary play…The
writing is brisk, brittle, funny and
lethally accurate."
—Sunday Times (London).
“A
shrewdly observant comedy that has people squirming as
they laugh.
It is ingentiously
constructed, wickedly perceptive of social interaction and
it offers the cast a technical challenge that makes it, like
ART, a pleasure to watch.”
-The
Financial Times (London)
“Life
x 3 is designed to show how chance with its impact upon
our actions and behaviour,
changes everything. Life
turns out to be dependent on the whims of chaos.”
-
The Evening Standard (London).
