Cast of Characters

ERIC HISSOM (Jack Lawson) This is Eric's first of what he hopes are many appearances at Gulfshore Playhouse. During 2010 and 2011, he completed the National Tour of The 39 Steps, appeared in the Vibrator Play at Woolly Mammoth in Washington DC, appeared in The Turn of the Screw at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, directed a production of The 39 Steps at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, appeared in the world premier of Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot at Cleveland Playhouse, performed the role of James Tyrone in A Moon for the Misbegotten at the Arden theatre in Philadelphia, the role of Bill Fordham in the Arden's August: Osage County, and twice performed the role of Cyrano in Michael Hollinger and Aaron Posner's new translation, this season at the Arden and last season, the world premier, at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. He has an MFA from Florida State University and has performed and/or directed at many other theatres across the country including Actors' Theatre of Louisville, La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Rep, Meadowbrook, Cape Playhouse, Syracuse Stage, Milwaukee Rep, Asolo Rep, and Cape May Stage.
JEFFERSON A. RUSSELL (Henry Brown) was most recently seen at Round House Theatre as Captain Beatty in FAHRENHEIT 451. He also appeared at Round House as Count Orsini-Rosenberg in AMADEUS and as Scanlon in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST. Additional credits include the world premiere of Regina Taylor's THE TRINITY RIVER PLAYS at Dallas Theatre Center and the Goodman Theatre; CLYBOURNE PARK at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Co. (Albert/Kevin); THE PIANO LESSON (Avery) at Hangar Theatre; Kennedy Center national tours of HARLEM, COLOR ME DARK and ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE...VERY BAD DAY!; BLOOD KNOT (Zacharia), A RAISIN IN THE SUN (Walter Lee) and A LESSON BEFORE DYING(Grant) with African Continuum Theatre; GEM OF THE OCEAN (Citizen Barlow), BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY (Leland), HEDDA GABLER(Lovborg) and David Emerson Toney's THE SOUL COLLECTOR(Cedric) at Everyman Theatre; THE TEMPEST (Sebastian) at Folger Theatre; CYRANO (D'Artagnan) and EDWARD II (Levune) at the Shakespeare Theatre; A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Egeus/Snout) at NC Shakespeare Festival; THE MEETING (Malcolm X), FLYIN' WEST (Frank) and BEFORE IT HITS HOME (Wendal) at Baltimore's Arena Players as well as several other theaters including Imagination Stage, the Kennedy Center and Rep Stage. TV credits include HBO's The Wire and NBC's Homicide: Life on the Streets. Jefferson has a BA in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Hampton University, is a former Baltimore Police Officer and a founding member of GALVANIZE, a network for artists of color.
BRENT LANGDON (Charles Strickland) NEW YORK: The Europeans (Atlantic Theatre Stage 2), Couldn't Say (Abingdon Theatre) REGIONAL: The Crucible (Hartford Stage), She Stoops To Conquer, Twelfth Night (McCarter), Richard II (Yale Repertory), A Streetcar Named Desire, Henry V (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey), Philadelphia Theatre Company, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Playmakers Repertory, Capital Repertory, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, The B Street Theatre, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. TV: Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Conviction. Graduate of the University of Evansville and the University of North Carolina.
EDENA HINES (Susan) is a recent graduate from New York University's Graduate Acting Program. She was last seein in Donald Margulies' Shipwrecked at the Penguin Repertory Theater in Stony Point, NY. Other credits include: NYC: NYSIPT Alls Well That Ends Well. International: Edinborough Fringe Festival: Memphis Women and Fried Chicken, Girl Crazy, Pres Du Lune. NYU: Henry Box Brown (Tony Kushner Musical), Sueno, Romantic Roulette and The Ruby Sunrise.
